Curls for a Cure - Lissa
The Avon 3 Day

I am walking 60 miles in honor of

Marlene Arsenault...Frieda Palazzo...Florine Schoen...DeeDee Talewsky...Cindy D'Andretti...

There are over one million women in America with undetected breast cancer.

A woman's chance of having breast cancer is one in eight. Your chance of knowing this woman is almost 100%.

"If we told you there was something you could do to help them find out and survive, how far would you be willing to go?"

That is the question that Avon has asked. And I am willing to go the distance. My name is Lissa Landau, and I am accepting the challenge; I will spend 3 days in May walking, with a curly-haired team of women, from Fitchburg to Boston. That's 60 miles in 3 days. And I know I can do it. I am going to join thousands of other women as we all walk for the cure.

You can help me reach my goal by making a donation.

We are walking in honor of many women. Frieda Palazzo, Marlene Arsenault, Florine Schoen are all survivors and I walk in honor of them. Cindy D'Andretti is battling the disease now, as is DeeDee Talewsky, and I walk in honor of them as well.

Millions of women will fight this disease - and there's something I can do to help them.

My teammate Rachel has a pledgepage too!

This year, approximately 182,800 women in the United States will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. That's 500 per day. More than 40,800 will die. 80% won't have any genetic predisposition to the disease.
